Tube Rental and Information
Family Tubing Map
Hours: MAY 25th - SEPTEMBER 1st.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
All tubes must be returned by 6:00 PM (late fees will be applied)
Tubing Rates: $2.00 per 1 hour or $5.00 per day. If you lose or
damage your tube, there’s a $30 fee to cover replacement. An
additional charge of $5 for each 15 minutes you’re late will
be required. We do not accept large bills.
CASH OR CHECK ONLY! ~WE CANNOT ACCEPT CREDIT/DEBIT
Ages: Tubing is permitted for any age; however you must possess a
valid Driver’s License or State ID card to rent tubes. Minors will not
be allowed to rent tubes. There must be a supervising adult present.
Tubing with children: This section of river is perfect for families
and children, however no water based activity is without risk. Life
jackets are provided free of charge and all river users are
encouraged to wear them.
Shoes: Shoes or appropriate river sandals should be worn while
Valuables: It is suggested to not take valuables on the river, please
secure your belongings by leaving all personal items and valuables
in your locked vehicle.Keys may be left with your License or ID at
the rentals shelter.
Shuttle: No shuttle needed. The S-curving section of river makes
access extremely walkable. With just over ¼ mile to the put in and
just under ¼ of a mile from the takeout the S-turning river, allows for
a 1 mile float. Several river access locations make it easy to
customize your float.
Restroom and changing: Restrooms/Changing area is available at
the Tube Rentals Building at the lower parking lot.
Tubes for purchase: If you can’t get enough of this great river you
may purchase a commercial grade rubber tube at the rentals
building for $25.00
Large group rentals/Group tubing: Groups of 10 or more are
required to give 1 week advance notice during normal operating hrs.
Can groups or parties request non Saturday tube rentals?
Non-Saturday private tubing rentals are available upon request and
require a minimum of 3 weeks notification to ensure staff availability.
River conditions and closings: The Pigg has calm and
shallow water with occasional ripples. Some pools may exceed
3 feet in depth. Depending on water level tubers may have to
stand and walk various sections.

What to Expect
The Pigg River through Waid Park is perfect for tubing. Calm water and several sections of ripples make for an extremely enjoyable 1 mile float.
3 put in options are available allowing tubers the flexibility to customize the distance and duration of their time on the water. Remember to keep your bottom up and feet first throughout the float.
-The Upper put-in allows for up to 1 mile of floating. It will take approximately 10 minutes to walk to the access point with a 55 minute float to the lower bridge.
-The Middle put-in allows for a ½ mile float. It will take approximately 5 minutes to walk to the access point with a 30 minute float to the lower bridge.
-The Lower put-in allows for a 1/4 mile float. The put-in is directly adjacent the tube rentals shelter. It will take approximately 20 minutes to float this section.
Season Passes will be available for only $25.00. Please ask about season passes at the tube rentals building.

Tubing Rules and Guidelines
-No water based activity is without risk. Consider your own and your child’s abilities before entering the river and always supervise children in and around water.
-A supervising adult is required for all children under the age of 18. A License or ID is required for rentals
-Alcohol is prohibited.
-Life jackets are provided free of charge and are recommended for all tubers.
-Avoid the river at high water levels. In the event of lightening a mandatory 30 minute river evacuation will take effect. Thunder requires a 15 minute evacuation.
-No littering- Pack out all trash – utilize trash cans.
-Rocks are extremely slippery. Take caution when entering and exiting the river. Climbing on river banks and jumping from rocks should be avoided. Be responsible and respect other river users (fishermen, kayakers, waders, etc.).
-Tubes must be returned on time or late fees will apply.
-Tubes may not leave park property. All tubes must take out at the second bridge.
