Youth Sports provides an opportunity to bring out positive qualities in our kids. I remember my first recreation coach, James Perdue. I don't remember if we won any championships, but I do remember that when it was my first chance to bat, he was encouraging and gave me the confidence I needed to step up to the plate and have fun. The best coaches are out there giving kids confidence, teaching life lessons, having fun and encouraging a lifelong love of all things recreation. I am thankful to grow up in this community and have the opportunity, with this position, to help give that experience to kids in Franklin County.
