ANTIQUE FARM DAYS
The Mission of the Southwest Virginia Antique Farm Days organization is to restore and preserve farm machinery and implements that were used in the agriculture based society of early Southwest Virginia. These efforts are directed toward educating the public and future generations, through displays and demonstrations, about the importance that early farm machinery played in shaping life in Franklin County and surrounding areas.
Each year on Father's Day Weekend this event is held on Friday, Saturday & Sunday at the Franklin County Parks & Recreation Department on Sontag Road. Entry is 6 dollars. Activities include: Antique Engines, Antique Tools, Antique Tractors, Blacksmithing, Demonstrations, Flea Market, Operating Steam Engine, Rock Crushing, Shingle Mill, Threshing & Baling, Tractor Parades and Wood Turning.
Our meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month (except July) at 7:00 pm. The location of our meetings are at The Essig Recreation Center 295 Technology Drive, Rocky Mount, Va 24151or at Franklin County Recreation Park 2150 Sontag Rd., Rocky Mount, Va 24151
