Park Information & Directions

The Franklin County Recreation Park offers a variety of outdoor activities including hiking trails, athletic courts/fields, and a fishing pond. The park is open year-round (dawn to dusk). Pets are not allowed on athletic courts/fields; however, the remainder of the park is pet friendly. The park hosts annual events such as the Franklin County Agricultural Fair, Southwest Virginia Antique Farm Days, and Land of Lights, a drive through Christmas light display.

The Franklin County Recreation Park is located south of Rocky Mount on Sontag Road. Directions: From Rocky Mount, take US-220 S approximately 4-5 miles to Sontag Road (State Route 619). Turn left onto Sontag Road and continue for 2.2 miles. Park entrance is on the right.
