Calling all kids 15 and under. Back again by popular demand is the DGIF youth only stocked trout pond and fishing competition at Recreation Park. Pack a lunch, grab your tackle box and fishin' rod, and see if you can win the trophy for the largest or smallest fish. 16 and older cannot assist with catching a fish, setting the hook and/or retrieving the fish per DGIF regulations. There will be trophies for the largest and smallest fish. We'll see you at the Lake!
Feel the exhilaration of running through nature! The Hyperlocal Youth Trail Running World Championship comes to Waid Park on May 6th. The unsanctioned, unaffiliated, ultra- 5K championship race will test endurance and challenge spirits as competitors' journey across several hills to complete the technical 4-mile world championship course.
